Grey

Fickle!  That is what we all are.

We are all incapable of deciding where our happiness truly lies.

One is often unable to commit himself to either black or white.

One longs for the happiness in white but also covets the strength in black.

One desires for the passion in white but deep down also needs the fierce love in black.

One seeks for the light in white but the darkness in black brings one’s heart at a standstill.

Someone once told me, “what we want and what we need are not always the same thing”.

Black and white will always be craved by the heart but it can never be in complete silence and have a conversation at the same time.

The heart refrains itself from choosing between black or white and ergo it loves to linger in grey.

The heart fails to notice the happiness in either black or white as it can never have both, thence it makes peace with grey and will never know what satisfaction truly feels like.

“But, what’s the fun in that?”

  1. So very true. The life that we all lead can never be upto our satisfaction and those who say that they are satisfied can never feel the zest and the excitement that one can experience in the grey.

I’d say that that’s the fun in leading such a life. You never know what to expect.

    Nicely written bro.✌

  2. Happiness isn’t necessarily bad for us, but I did find out recently that happiness alone isn’t enough for us to feel fulfilled. Sadly, chasing happiness is really common these days, and most of us don’t realize why being happy isn’t enough for us to be satisfied with life.
true that we’re happy when we get what we want. where as in life nothing is constant what today is there tomorrow that will also change
